Dr. Narayana received his medical degree from JSS Medical College in Mysore, India, and completed a Neurology Residency at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson in New Jersey,where he served as chief resident. He completed a fellowship in Neuro-Ophthalmology at NYU School of Medicine. Prior to coming to Gainesville Neurology Group,LLC Dr. Narayana was an assistant professor of Neuro-ophthalmology at the Emory School of Medicine and served mainly at the Emory Hospital Midtown location for nearly 5 years.
Dr. Narayana brings with him a rare combination of experience in neurology and ophthalmology. He completed an Ophthalmology Residency abroad followed by a fellowship in uveitis and ocular inflammation at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.
Dr. Narayana is Board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
