Kannan M. Narayana, MD, MBBS
It is with great pleasure and excitement that we welcome Dr. Narayana to our practice! Dr. Narayana will be practicing neuro-ophthalmology and general neurology.
Dr. Narayana brings with him a rare combination of experience in both neurology and ophthalmology, having completed an ophthalmology residency abroad, and a neurology residency at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson in New Jersey, where he served as chief resident. He then completed a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Narayana served as an assistant professor in the Neuro-Ophthalmology service at Emory University School of Medicine, where he was instrumental in establishing a neuro-ophthalmology practice at the Emory Hospital Midtown location. He has co-authored more than 18 peer-reviewed publications, four book chapters and presented more than 40 posters/ papers in international meetings.
Apart from general neurology, he has expertise in wide range of disorders including auto-immune diseases of the eye and the nervous system, afferent and efferent dysfunction including optic neuropathies, diplopia, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, visual dysfunction associated neurodegenerative disorders, and dizziness.
